Brad the dad My son loved this phone. The only problem is the cord on the telephone handset was only three inches long. He couldn't put up to his head like a real phone. I cut off the handset and tied it to the long red pull rope and he was happy

Sarah My 12-month-old loves this phone, but gets frustrated when playing with it because the cord that connects the receiver to the phone base is only about 3 inches long. It makes it very difficult to pretend to talk on the phone because the entire base comes up and hits her in the face when she tries to put the receiver to her ear. This would be a fantastic toy if Fisher Price made that cord several inches longer.

Jackson & Brady's mommy I have to agree with the other reviews... the cord is way too short to hold up to your ear. I'm disappointed with this phone. I love fisher price it's my favorite toy line. In fact, my kids have almost every Laugh and learn toy that out there right now but this one kinda missed the mark. The whole point of a play phone is to teach role play... how can you pretend while your holding the base up as well as the phone. Everything else about the phone is great and it's a good concept with the pull string. If they fix the cord length I will diffenently recommend this item

Melissa My son loves that he can get the phone into his mouth to chew on and he loves to turn the pages back and forth. We opened it in the car before we ever left the parking lot. He's been playing with it since.

PB the Destroyer This is a pretty mediocre toy. My main problem with it is that the cord that attaches the phone to the base of the phone is TOO SHORT. It's only about 6 i nches. My 16 month old can't even hold it to his ear without having to have the whole phone unit dangle there stupidly.

Also, I can't stand the voice that talks. And when you flip the little rolodex cards, the words they use for the animals don't match what's written down. It says CAT on the card, and she says KITTY. How is that supposed to teach my kid how to spell?

I do like stepping on all the buttons, they make a cool sound, and my baby likes to push the buttons too. But everything has buttons and I didn't need to spend money on something that is only good for button pushing.

Save your money and get something else.

Love Laugh & Learn Toys When I saw this product I thought it would be great for my 2 year old. I LOVE Laugh & Learn toys so I thought this would live up to all the others. It didn't. The cord on the phone is too short (which is understandable), however my child has to lay on the floor to attempt to get the phone to her ear;-( But my main problem with this toy is it's missing the number "0". I was trying to teach my daughter how to dial her Grammy's number when I noticed the phone doesn't have a zero on it. That won't work for calling Grammy or any other family members in the state of Maryland (our area code is 410). I called Fisher Price today and they are going to send me a voucher to replace this toy with another one. For all those loving this toy, I'm glad to hear it....it just didn't work for us;-(

Cape Cod Mom My 14 month old son LOVES this toy! He "talks" on it all of the time, it is pretty funny! The only thing that I wish was a bit different is that the string from the phone to the base is really short, but I figured they did that do to any choking hazards. Great 1st birthday gift!

D's mommy My sister-in-law bought this toy for my son for Christmas when he was about 7 months old. I was immediately weary of the pull string, but decided not to cut it off until after she left so as not to offend. Within 5 minutes of giving the toy to my son he managed to get the cord wrapped around his neck and caught under his hand as he crawled along the floor, nearly strangling himself. Needless to say, the long cord was cut off and, unlike other reviewers, I was very grateful that the phone cord is so short.

I know 7 months is well below the manufacturer's recommended age, but who is seriously going to buy this toy for a 3+ year old? Even the product description talks about "baby" playing with it.

Other than the obvious pull-cord hazard, my son loves pushing the buttons, lifting the flaps, and playing with the phone.

BenjiMama I got this free during a buy one get one sale so I'm keeping it but otherwise I probably wouldn't. I read the reviews about the phone cord being too short but I didn't care because it's for my 7 month old. He just likes to push buttons and turn pages and bang the phone around. So for that it serves its purpose but overall I just think it's boring. It doesn't have many sound/song options and of all the fisher price toys we have I like this the least. My son likes playing with the pull string but he's gotten it around his neck and that made me wonder why they have that long string there but not on the phone itself. Anyway, I just wasn't impressed with it but my son likes banging on it here and there so I give it 3 stars.
