Mom of active boy I bought this for my 2 yr old son because he is obsessed with our phones and he loves it. It is great for teaching him the keyboard and the games are very educational. The only issue is the learning lodge software is kind of a pain.

Trish - Mom On Timeout The MobiGo2 by VTech is designed for 3-8 year olds and my boys are 3 and 6 - the perfect ages for this system. VTech products are known for their smart play - entertaining, engaging, and educational and that's exactly what I'm looking for in toys for my children

The MobiGo 2 is packed full of features that make learning fun! The new MobiGo 2 Touch Learning System is a multi-functional, educational handheld system that allows kids to enjoy on-the-go play and hone their creativity. It's a fun way for kids to work on basic skills such as math, vocabulary, spelling, reading, logic, drawing and more. The MobiGo 2 comes preloaded with three great games and also functions as an e-reader, photo album, photo viewer, art studio and coloring book.

One of our favorite features is the motion sensor. It provides for total game control and allows kids to creation action movement within the games and programs during play. The microphone that provides different methods of game play. You can blow into the microphone to move objects, blow off dust, or create other special effects. You can also speak into the microphone to give a command or trigger an action.

My 3 yo has really enjoyed Art Master and Hamster Highway the most. The games that I downloaded are a little too advanced for him but are an excellent learning tool. He has gotten frustrated a couple of times because there are not keys dedicated specifically to the numbers on the keyboard but I'm sure he'll get used to that :) I really love that this is a system that can grow with the boys.

We took the MobiGo 2 on our Disneyland vacation a couple of weeks ago and it was so perfect for the car ride - I only wished I had two of them! The boys had to take turns but it was nice to have a distraction for them and an educational one at that. This past weekend the MobiGo 2 went camping with us and it was great! The MobiGo 2 is so durable - it's perfect for taking on the go and unlike adult products {phones, tablets, etc.} it can withstand the typical abuse that children dole out to their toys.

Our friend's daughter (5 years old) had never played with electronic toys before and after watching Reece play a couple of games she was able to pick up the MobiGo 2 and play on her own with no instruction needed. The platform is very user-friendly and with the games that come pre-loaded, kids can pick it up and play right away.

The look and feel of the MobiGo 2 is perfect for kids. The colors are bright and cheerful and the device is comfortable to hold. The screen slides up easily to reveal the QWERTY keyboard which is a wonderful way to help kids become familiar with a standard keyboard layout.

The MobiGo 2 connects to VTech's Learning Lodge Navigator™ where you can download apps and e-books (coming December 2012. The purchase of your MobiGo 2 entitles you to three free downloads from the Learning Lodge and make sure to check out the more than 80 other apps available for download onto the expanded onboard memory. We've redeemed two of our downloads but I'm holding out for the e-books for my final free download :) I really am excited to see how the e-reader feature works!

The new MobiGo 2 is such a great value and has the new motion sensor and microphone in addition to the touchscreen. The MobiGo 2 comes pre-loaded with three games so your children can play immediately. It's perfect for taking on the go whether it's a road trip, camping, restaurants, doctor's office, or any other time you need a little assistance keeping your child educationally entertained. This would make the perfect Christmas present for your little learner!

I am most disappointed that the e-books are not even available yet. I also would have liked to see a row of keys dedicated to numbers on the keyboard - the way it is can be confusing for younger users. I would also have liked the system to be rechargeable.

Overall I am very happy with the unit and my boys are too. I know the MobiGo 2 will be used for years to come.

Jen Life With Levi I remember having a Gameboy as a kid, and this thing is so much cooler. My 2 year old son is able to draw pictures, color photos, read stories, play games, and more.

It's the perfect size for preschooler and school-age hands, and the keyboard slides out from under the screen. I particularly appreciate that, because my impatient child often gets irritated when a button he pressed accidentally changes what's on the screen.

For a branded kid's system, there's a nice selection of apps available, especially compared to some of the competitor's products. We've had this system for a few weeks now and Levi hasn't broken it, so that says a lot about the quality of the materials.

The one big improvement I would like to see is something to attach or store the stylus with the system. Right away, my son lost his somewhere, and though I'm sure it will eventually turn up, it would be nice for it to attach to the main unit so we could avoid losing it in the first place.

momof2monkeys The Mobigo 2 from Vtech just came out and we were anxious to give it a go. While I'm not a mom who let's my kids play video games all of the time at home, I am a mom who is all for those perfect briberies to help me get my much needed errands ran.

The Mobigo 2 comes preloaded with great apps, which makes it perfect for quick play! I was pleasantly pleased to see that 3 free game downloads were also included. We installed the included software and quickly selected the 3 games of Andrew's choice. The set up was so easy and frustration free, something many electronic toys lack these days.

I'm no longer worried about the kids dropping my phone out of the cart to break on the floor. And the best bonus of all. My son is learning so much more from the Mobigo 2, the slide out keyboard is getting him acquainted with the computer keyboard, the photo viewer is awesome because I no longer have to worry about my kids deleting photos from my phone, and the special effects from the microphone bring a new level of fun to their little world.

Love it!

Freckleberry Mom I was worried that my 3 year old wouldn't be able to get the hang of the MobiGo 2, but I was so wrong! I taught him a few basic functions, and he was off to the races. I love the sliding keyboard feature -- it makes it so easy for him to either expand or collapse the unit depending on what he's using it for at the moment. LOVE the Learning Lodge for downloads and apps! It's a kid-tough product. It's survived a few drops with complete grace! The only thing I wish it had was the option to simply charge the unit as opposed to replacing batteries. This is easily circumvented by purchasing rechargeable AAs, but it'd be nice to just plug the unit in at night instead of having to take out the batteries. We've had it a few weeks and have replaced batteries once (non-rechargeable).

mommyhood chronicles My daughter is just about four and one of her favorite ways to learn and have fun is by way of computers. She hogs my computer all day trying to play her games and see her videos. This creates a problem as we only have one computer. Lucky for all of us, we found about the incredible Vtech MobiGo 2. We do have quite a few Vtech items but we have not delved into any learning systems yet. When my mom suggested getting her the original MobiGo, I thought she was too young at the time and would not have much use out of it. With her being almost 4 , I knew the time is now to start using these special handheld learning systems. I was so glad we received the Vtech MobiGo 2 and I know have a chance to tell my readers, all about it!

If you are not familiar with the Vtech MobiGo 2, it is a touch learning system geared towards kids ages 3-8. It is similar to the original MobiGo, but it includes some awesome new features including motion and sound activated games, as well as new apps that you can buy for relatively inexpensive prices. My daughter loves the feature of the motion games because it allowed her to shake, tilt, pat, or turn the MobiGo 2 to play the game with all new motion-sensoring technology. My husband bought her, her first motion game on the MobiGo 2 and I had not idea what she doing. She was shaking the MobiGo 2 up and down, and I told her to stop because I thought she would break it. Just as I was saying this, both of them simultaneously said to me, "No, that is how the game is played. It is meant to shake the MobiGo 2.″ I went over to reaffirm what they were saying and I was amazed. I have never seen a learning system like this and it brought an additional level of fun to playing, and learning. The NEW motion sensor provides total game control, allowing kids to create action movements within games and programs while playing . The sound activated games were also fun and include a built in microphone to make the play experience that much more special. The NEW microphone provides different methods of game play. Blow into the microphone to move objects, blow of dust, or initiate other special effects. Or speak into it to give a command or trigger an action- pretty awesome if you ask me!

While my daughter loves just about everything dealing with the MobiGo 2, her favorite feature was the E-reader. When I was searching through the books I could buy, we came across so many wonderful Disney stories that Hayley was so excited about. Don't worry though if your child is not into princesses like my obsessed daughter right now, as they have just about have any E-book you can want for your children. Since Hayley is not reading, she could readily touch the screen to hear the words. As the e-reader tells the story, it highlights the words on the page and tells the word too! I believe she is picking up words from seeing the spelling and hearing them on the screen. She LOVES it! She wants to listen to her Beauty and the Beast E-reader story all day long!

Another cool feature is the Photo Viewer where your child can view photos and apply fun effects on the pictures using the microphone and touch screen. Hayley loves playing around with this feature and I enjoy seeing her creations. It also features a photo album, art studio, and coloring book in addition to the games/apps.

Some developmental benefits of using the MobiGo 2 include letters, names, and phonics, math skills, problem solving, science concepts, reading development, cognitive development, visualization and memory, independent play, creative play, and motor skills. This is the ultimate learning system for your children and allows them to have fun as well!

We take the Vtech MobiGo 2 whenever we are in the car on long trips. It keeps Hayley occupied for hours. We just went on a four hour trip this past weekend and thanks to the MobiGo 2, we had one really quiet kid. We will be packing up the Vtech MobiGo 2 when we go away on vacation at the end of the month. We have a couple of flights and I know the MobiGo 2 will come in very handy. It is small and compact, so it travels very well. I highly suggest if you are in the car a lot and don't want your kids watching constant TV on your entertaiment system (if you have one), to check out the Vtech MobiGo 2.

I highly recommend the Vtech MobiGo 2 and give it an A+!!

Jeannette We absolutely love our MoBiGo 2! What I, as a mom, really love about the MobiGo 2 is that it is teaching my kids while they are having fun! The e-Reader and art studio are probably two of the boys favorites. My older son loves the e-Reader and keypad because it allows him to make the MobiGo 2 much more interactive. He can read to himself or his brother while we are in the car and can work on his typing skills as well (you know, he's gotta be prepared for texting in a few years!)! And he adores that he can use the motion sensors to play games like Hamster Highway without having to use the keypad!

For my younger son, it has a little different use since he is just now venturing into expressing himself. He loves the art studio where he can create masterpieces that are all his own using the touch screen! It's so easy for him to do because he can simply touch the screen and have the MobiGo 2 react to his fingertips. It's a great way for him to start learning about colors and shapes! And I can't wait to watch him grow into the spelling and letter activities! He is slowly venturing into different games with the help of mom and dad and big brother and I feel like he is already learning so much! As soon as he gets in the car, he reaches for the MobiGo 2 so that he can check out some of the fun learning games!

I know we will be playing with our MobiGo 2 on the road, in the house and probably all over town! I love how it encourages the boys to learn and is even teaching them to share! But what I love most is that the MobiGo 2 makes learning fun and what parent doesn't want that for their child? So, we're playing, learning having an all around good time – thanks to being on the go with MobiGo!

Batman Fan What can I say? Got this and My little Nephew loves it.He is keeped so entertained while playing with his favorite cartoon characters. Its been dropped and stuff but its very durable it can handle the falls. I think it's great for the kids first little game system. The great thing is it has educational games (You can purchase separately) so He'll learn while playing. He just loves the e-reader thats installed it narrates to the story to him. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't come with at least a AC charger to plug into the socket on the wall. That and the fact that the batteries kinda run out fast, but then again it may be just because he's constantly playing with it? :) . Other than that I'm really Happy with this purchase.. I really feel like any child would enjoy this.Did I mention it's a great substitute for my smartphone. Now he has his own touch screen device.
